Resume Project

The resume example above displays just how creative a person can get with the designs of a resume. This is a non-traditional design that challenges the eyes with unique shape usage. The repetitive shape in different sizes creates uniformity on the page. Although the shapes can be tighter you can tell this person is creative and wants to stand out.

Flyer Project

The flyer design immediately addresses what's taking place at the border. The bars in the background create a stable design layout for the eye. The colors demonstrate symbolism to the American flag because this is a crisis that Americans should be aware of. The hands are at opposite angles of the flyer to create a feeling of being pulled apart. The words in the middle "If you don't who will" are done in a warped text to represent the uneasiness of knowing what's happening and not doing your part to create change.

Brochure Project

The Brochure example above is a trifold brochure that allows the audience to explore Black-Owned Businesses in Buffalo, NY. The front cover of the brochure has a playful font to catch the reader's attention. The designs on the cover express the purpose of the industry by using the graphic of a black woman, a mind, a person stretching, and hamsa. The Logo is unique and uses another playful font. The inside of the Brochure is reminiscent of the African American pride flag. The graphic icons under each business's description represent an image of what the business offers.

Post Card Project

The postcard design has a fun and in-your-face graphic that displays what the creator's interest is. It's clear that the creator is interested in photography and or cinematography of some sort. The name is located right beneath the graphic allowing the reader's eyes to follow below. The text wrap highlights the graphic further and the unbolded text allows the name to come forward in the design.

Logo Project

The logo design uses a camera on a tripod as a graphic, but the tripod instead becomes an M for the rest of the text. You can see the name of the company clearly. The two spot colors symbolize creativity and warmth which is what the company wants the potential clients to feel after collaboration. Multimedia is warped into a hill shape to give the graphic texture and create a playful text. Above the "I" in multimedia is a hand holding a pencil to represent other services offered that are unrelated to photography/cinematography.

Child Migrant Detention Centers and Family Separation does not reflect Democracy.

Families at the U.S-Mexican Border attempting to cross over into the U.S for a better life are being met with strict resistance. Once crossing over if caught by the U.S government are then detained and oftentimes children are being separated from their parents. Many of these children are only following their parents' leads and doing what they are told. These children do not understand the full ramifications of their parents’ decision. Some of the children crossing the border are being sent alone to escape poverty, drugs, crime, and an overall lack of resources.  The United States is known for enforcing strict immigration policies and has always addressed illegal immigration as an issue that needs to be controlled. The numbers are skyrocketing, but the U.S has failed to find a solution that safely protects these children. News outlets have shown footage of these children sleeping in cages with only foil blankets as coverings. The detention centers are run similar to prisons, ...
