Who is Dahlia - introduction to aspirations and achievements.

 Born in Upstate, NY, Dahlia Midyette,  influenced by an environment that displayed a lack of diversity. The atmosphere did not fulfill her desire to see herself reflected in the world around her. Growing up in a world that did not even slightly mirror Black and Brown people in diverse avenues. She became destined to express beauty, traditions, images, creativity, stories, all from a minority perspective. Dahlia has a passion for uplifting and telling the stories of Black and other minority people through a multimedia lens.  She attends SUNY Buffalo State College and will graduate in Fall 2021. Studying communications, journalism, and African American studies, she has sharpened her photography, cinematography, and storytelling artistry. She has a heritage that speaks to the Black Diaspora: African American and Puerto Rican. Dahlia, inspired by the visual language that speaks to the soul.
